The good life we create together should last a lifetime

Belinda Hornhøj
HEARTWORK
In her youth Belinda travelled around the world before she became a teacher. She saw how important relations between generation were all over. Belinda has devoted her life to teaching and has been always curious of how and when children learn. Her motto is that school and the good life that we create together is a gift and should last a lifetime. She is convinced that social innovation and entrepreneurship help children to obtain a feeling of "I can" which leads them to contribute to society.

Project

HeartWork purpose is to facilitate concreation between public schools and elderly homes. We make alternative platforms for teaching and learning. Create opportunities for relations between generations to grow and for both parts to bond and thrive. Worthiness is an outcome from which both parts prosper.

Impact story

Benjamin has had a difficult school start. Socially and academically. He had troubles with codes to interact with his peers, and his academically efforts were affected due to this. "Benjamin" is attending HeartWorks program: Relations between generations - a program designed to facilitate alternative platforms for teaching/learning. A concreation between school and elderly homes. Wellbeing and Worthiness lead to self-esteem and thus desire to learn and contribute."Benjamin" says: "I love our visits to the elderly home, and I am now fond of school. I feel important, that I make a difference" In school they have also noticed "Benjamins" change. That he contributes both socially and academically.
