SEIKLEJATE VENNASKOND
The story of Seiklejate Vennaskond (SV) started in 2003. Initially, SV constituted a non-formal group of adventurous young people who wished to do good in the world and to connect youths across countries. Following the vision of the founder Heleri Alles, the organization quickly grew to be bigger. In 2010, SV was registered as a NGO working with youths and it started to focus on topics like human rights education, volunteering, inclusion, equality etc.

Project

The main activities of SV are Erasmus+ youth projects – that is, local activities for youths that focus on topics like human rights, volunteering, sustainability, healthy lifestyles, and aims to create inclusion of youths that have fewer opportunities in the society. SV works together with organizations to provide these youths with a chance to participate in international projects and actively contribute to society. Young people is given a chance and support to learn through activities and fulfill their own ideas with the help of SV.

Impact story

Nastja:
The time when I started to participate in Erasmus+ projects through Seiklejate Vennaskond was very important for me and it changed my life. I started to participate in different projects when I was in high school. This was a time when I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do in my life, e.g. what to study in university. It’s now been 3 years since I started to participate in project, and I am currently enrolled in the university and know for sure what I want to do. Also, I have been in many Estonian projects with Seiklejate Vennaskond as a volunteer. As a volunteer I have been a a member of the projects support team, and it has given me a priceless experience. I got a lot of new knowledge on how to write and organize projects, and how make sure that everything is okay. I also gained many new skills since I got to organize one project by myself. Also, I am a coordinator in Seiklejate Vennaskond, and altough it is a lot of work, I really like it and it has given me a lot of experiences. Seiklejate Vennaskond and its members are very important for me. They are friends who are ready to help me at any time. I am glad that I am part of this organization and can help other people to get to know about the possibilities to travel, get new knowledge, make friends etc.
